The Humboldt Broncos bus crash April 6, 2018 was the worst tragedy for Canadian sports as 16 people lost their lives. The outpouring of love and support from around the world is helping the families, friends and communities move forward minute by minute through their shock and grief.
People from around the world are showing their support for the Humboldt Broncos team and staff through donations on the gofundme.com site. The campaign was set up by Sylvie Kellington and as of this writing has raised over 11 million dollars for the families of the crash.
There are over 100,000 donors from over 65 countries around the world.
This is due to the a true healing technology of a crowdfunding platform. The online fundraising platform allows people to give immediately to those causes that resonate with their emotions. And gofundme.com has a tip aspect to their giving platform which allows the donor to tip (pay) the platform between 10% -20% with 15% being the default tip setting.
